Appointments

Our facilities are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Each Physical Therapist is on a different time schedule to allow for these extended hours in a effort to accommodate patients both before and after work or school. The office staff will try to accommodate your schedule when possible. To make an appointment, please call us during office hours at (757) 481-4066 for the Virginia Beach office or (757) 466-4401 for the Norfolk office.

Your First Appointment

Please bring your insurance card, picture ID, referral form (if needed by your managed care company), and the Physical Therapy Prescription from your doctor. It is also helpful to wear comfortable exercise clothing that will allow your Physical Therapist to easily examine your injured area. If you are being seen for orthotics, please bring a few pairs of shoes that you frequently wear so that they can be evaluated and examined. Changing and shower facilities are available if needed. Your first appointment usually takes about an hour and a half and there is minimal waiting time. We will also keep your referring physician informed regarding your status with periodic progress reports.

Referrals

Many insurance plans require a written referral from your primary care physician. This is different from a Physical Therapy Prescription. If a referral is required by your plan, it must be presented at the time of your first visit. Most patients find it helpful to call their insurance company before the first appointment to determine level of coverage and co-pay information. Our office staff is always available to assist you if you have any questions concerning this area.

Fees

Our fees are the standard reasonable and customary charges found in the Southeastern Virginia region. If you have any questions about the fee for a specific visit, please do not hesitate to ask a staff member for clarification.

Insurance

Many insurance plans require deductibles and/or co-payments at the time of the visit. You may pay these with cash, check, VISA or MasterCard. We participate with most plans including Medicare, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, and Tricare among others. We will gladly submit account information to your insurance company when possible and bill you for any balance. Each plan offers a variety of options depending on your employer. Please check with you plan for specifics regarding your coverage.

Direct Access

New laws recently passed in Virginia allow for a patient to be seen by a physical therapist without a prescription. For more information regarding your options as a patient under the new Direct Access Law please feel free to contact us at either of our locations.
