Dr. Daniel Parker attended Virginia Tech for his undergraduate course work, graduating with a B.S. in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise in 2008. Danny went on to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Lynchburg College in 2016. Upon completing his doctoral degree, Danny joined the Atlantic Physical Therapy team at our First Colonial office.

Danny has extensive expertise in the functional assessment of human movement. He is certified as a Functional Capacity Evaluator by Workwell to determine levels of physical abilities as it related to workplace health. He is also a certified provider of the Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Functional Movement Screen to assist quick return of patients and clients to athletic endeavors.

He has worked with the department of the Navy's Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs developing fitness regiments for the Navy’s Fitness enhancement program. He has also worked with the College of William and Mary’s Strength and Conditioning team. Danny is a competitive powerlifter in the 75kg and 82.5kg divisions. He grew up in Suffolk Virginia, graduating from StoneBridge High School in 2004, where he competed in Track and Cross Country.
